Thriving Theta Chapters story is truly one of a flor growing from concrete. After meeting with different members of Greek life, Mariela Gomez was inspired to start an interest group after speaking with a Delta Chapter Sister, Myra Rivas. Driven by the idea of a Chicanx/Latinx sorority geared towards professionalism and culture, Mariela recruited Natalie Monforte, Diana Dillon, Jacqueline Zamora, and Maria Gomez to start the Rosettes, as an official interest group for Phi Lambda Rho in 2019.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the founding sisters of Theta Chapter continued to persevere. Their dedication and spirit brought them to Phi Lambda Rho's jardin and thus, Theta Chapter was chartered August 7th, 2021.

Since then, Theta chapter has continued to thrive and promote the true nature of cultura, philanthropy, sisterhood and academic excellence since their inception.
