CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY
FRESNO

Beta Chapter of Phi Lambda Rho was established on April 7, 1995, at California State University, Fresno. Nineteen of Fresno’s finest ladies came together to form a bond that would last forever. We share common ideals and goals, to pursue academic achievements, sisterhood, community service, and promotion of the Chicana/Latina culture. For each objective, we participate in events and activities that help not only ourselves but for others as well.

Our chapter is known in the community with an outstanding reputation. In the past we have assisted in Big Brother/ Big Sister Bowl-a-thon, Light the Night Leukemia Walk, Clean the High way, Kid’s Day, visit of Presidente Fox to Fresno. Our most recent events have been Fresno’s Science Fair, Clothing Drives, Crab Feed Fundraiser, Hope for Haiti, and the Breast Cancer Walk.

Promotion of the Chicana/Latina culture is something that this organization takes great pride in from our traditional Mexican customs to having a panelist of Fresno’s State well known professional women. One of the biggest events in the nation is the Latino Commencement that Phi Lambda Rhos have exclusive privileges too.

Phi Lambda Rho is open to any lady that serious about advancing professionally, emotionally, socially, and culturally.
